Survivors of Homicide Victims Awareness Month (observed November 20-December 20) is a month-long effort to educate the public and policymakers about the impact of homicide on families and communities and recognize the diverse contributions of the Survivor’s movement. Throughout the months of November & December, Homicide Survivors is amplifying Survivor’s voices through the #StopTheViolence Pledge.
WHAT IS THE AIM OF THE #STOPTHEVIOLENCE CAMPAIGN?
Every 32.5 minutes, someone is murdered in the United States.
In Arizona, a murder occurs approximately every 27 hours.
With national homicide rates on the rise in 2020, support for families impacted by homicide and awareness of the impact of homicide in our communities is needed now more than ever.
